I have the chance to play regularly on the legendary Charley last few years. Unfortunately, it is not me, but the guitarist with whom we rehearsal and which owns an old drumkit (fits in a corner, I use my Recording !) and some crappy cymbals, except charley this well-sr ...... Well, the diameter is unusual, because most of the time the standard size is 14 inches, but you get used quickly. This is not Charley specially powerful, but it has body, and allows all the nuances of the game, with chopsticks or foot, that's what surprised me most, I did not expect much flexibility on the part of a "sound edge". The sound is very beautiful, but not too sharp, never aggressive, "tchick" is very specific on and not intrusive, the dynamics really excellent, we just go from pianissimo to forte keeping the same advantages sound, a true wonder, and I do not even speak of his half-opened sound, which is exhilarating. Adept has long Zildjian 14 "hi-hats, I must say I don't feel the need to buy one because the 15-inch fully justifies its reputation and gives me satisfaction in all circumstances (directory of pop covers / rock )....... Perfect, with the personality and more, and a reputable justifies an instrument which must be over 25 years and sounds beautifully. Attention it requires a hi-hat pedal robust and reliable because it is its weight, the bastard!
