Published on 11/29/10 at 13:01I bought this mic because I wanted to get on a violin of my manufacturing.
I did not like a Gibson or PRS style, I wanted an original guitar, I wanted microphones rich, versatile, powerful while remaining accurate.
I have heard of these mics KC Grail.
I passed and have not ordered from KCPI.
The least we can say is that in KCPI we do not make fun of the customer, the package is just sublime, in fact I kept the wooden box that contained these mics, it is beautiful.
The pickups mounted once, I split the bridge pickup, I test ... and there is a vamp, I plugged my guitar on the Avenger 25 watt little easier to lug around that big Marshall. but damn what microphones! it shines, it's clean, it's flute as desired if one wants to get a little camp in the middle and neck pickup, and it sends that attack on the bridge in the treble, it's powerful, accurate but it rocks!
There I wanted to test the marshall, just with lights, no effect, nothing, just the mic and me ... and although we can largely do without effect ... as the pub for coffee, it's not worth to add, is simply gorgeous.
I swear by them ... I have three strats, a genuine U.S. one modified with a Seymour SH4 in bridge and climb with Di Marzio ss1 ... I do not touch them anymore, my Les Paul Pearl 71-57 equipped Gibson PAF serves as decoration ...
I sincerely recommend them and I will ever purchase for my next project.
And considering the quality of Grails, I want to try for my next KC Geronimo strat.
