I used it on several guitars since 1991 (not all mine): Aria, Ibanez, strata, TV (Squier) Les Paul copy and Jagstang.
It is these last two the result I found most friendly, especially the Les Paul copy.
Ideal to go tease a floor lamp.
Big potato output with a dominance of acute.
Not too low and not too much midrange.
That may be why the Les Paul makes it more balanced, and it compensates medium.
The lack of medium can interfere to move to the top of the mix for a solo.
for large rhythmic saturated, it does it well.
In the clear ... it can go even if not too comfortable.
in any case, it is very accurate, it's nice!
The configuration that I recommend: Use a switch on / on / on in order to operate in Parallel / Split / Series (it's a 4-wire)
the effect will be even more supported by using a tone knob kind of Fender TBX.
it boosts bass and good treble.
