«  a clean! »

Published on 07/26/12 at 09:26
compact combo for a 130 watts with 2 10 hp, with heavy cons (not far from the 30 kgs)
4 EL34 power and transistor preamp
2 switchable channels but no (or yes box with AB Crane)
serious construction-type tank, made in USA
production between 1974-1979

reverb and tremolo + + bright deep (in addition to traditional settings, bass / treble / mid ...)
1 volume on the first channel
1 + 1 master volume on channel 2

UTILIZATION

+ configuration that simple, you plug it done quickly toy on settings and it sounds.
Main use of channel 2, channel 1 is not a huge interest.

SOUNDS

the clean sound is just huge, it's round with a terrible presence, you can get light crunch (max gain to 7, otherwise ç'est crunch pushed quickly into mushy)
it is a very surprising combo, I was skeptical because of the preamp transistors but suddenly it's a good slap in prejudice, it competes with a twin for the sound quality clear although different.
for more crunch or a wicked distortion, a good drive pedal HT or dual front, as the baby accepts them with pleasure!

OVERALL OPINION

they are found between 500 and 900 € roughly according to the state, suddenly the price / quality ratio of the gear is good.
If you find one go for around € 600!

the most:
clear sound and light crunch fabulous
well for the effects
serious construction of Mr leo

the least:
weight
crunch pushed away from the best
rare secondhand
