I needed a new sound card for beginners all costs in the computer music, both used to the sound card and creative quality of his irrprochable (I know I'm frmir more with a phrase, but my avi ...), so I chose the last bb in the firm, the X-Fi.
My config: PIV 2.66 ghz, 512mb ram 80 gb hard disk 1 (yes, my pc has several years).
I use Cubase SE EWQLSO with gold.
I had no incompatibility So why put a bad mark?
UTILIZATION
Installation is no problem although a bit long (+ - 20 minutes in my case). In total 382 MB of installed software which trs few are really useful. Only a small "X-Fi Splash" (small 3D video of ten seconds) as dmo to test "his poustouflant" card, the rest is download on the site Creative (including a program-install-player demo creative ... yet).
on this point, say anything, the sound is fantastic, "24-bit Crystalizer" (amliorateur sound of an mp3) is quite effective, not great either, I am satisfied he is the main ^ ^
Another good point, the cms-3d that emulates the multi-channel sound through headphones is pretty impressive and good quality.
One point that I find dcevant, it is the modes. The transitions from one mode to another is slow and wondering what audio applications are beaten. This is really stupid ... and then often a bug, the passage does not want to do or I end up with a rotten with her as the only way to reboot ... I have to switch between all the time "entertainment" and "Fast Fashion Music" is pnible .... Fortunately, the gameplay does not interest me

Yes, I have not had any problem with, it's stupid but creative in this regard, it lucky or there is none. - How do you report qualitprix?
for the "low end" (xtreme music) I find it pretty good, for against the versions are too suprieurs Chres for what is more (watch the X-ram is only available for last two models).
- With the exprience, you do again this choice? ...
