What characteristics have motivated your choice?
PCI format with the possibility to choose between two types of audio connections, and allowing the use of the south.
With which instruments or systems to use you? ...
On a PC with XP SP3 (see config in my profile). It works since I changed nickel tour. The audio is connected to a small mixer and MIDI to a keyboard master.

UTILIZATION
20/08/11:
Drivers (finally v 1.23, the last developed for XP SP3, which dates back a while) are stable. He delivered the original was not. There is no update for this platform, but as long as it works, why complain.
I'm running Cubase 4 and DrumCore (virtual drummer that I have evaluated here). Bossant alone, I'm recording one track after another, reading up to use a dozen or fifteen simultannément carefree.
In settings, I'm at 512 samples latency 44,000 Hz What I've never asked. I do not see the registration and did not crash or stall.
8 / 10
GETTING STARTED
20/08/11:
Installation (hardware and software) is incredibly easy, without known conflict to date.
The config options in the manual could be a little less obscure: it seems to apply to a different audience than the newbies. A shame.
7 / 10
OVERALL OPINION
20/08/11:
I've had it for 3 years now. 3 years of loyal service. For the ridiculous price, drivers and converters are very very good, however they don't achieve the excellence in some other flagship products, but they are at 10,000 feet in terms of price too.
This card is well made, neat, gets forgotten and is perfect for those who want to record directly out of high quality, audible, without taking the lead.
Its successor is bound to be much more expensive, better for sure (probably in the range RME), but in my humble opinion, the quality/price ratio is unbeatable.
