2 GB RAM (XP limit, you will understand why I say it a bit below)

UTILIZATION

Installation dpend your OS!
Its configuration is very intuitive!

GETTING STARTED

I bought it in 2000 Pigale on the advice of a seller, it's silent era rcente!

I n'tait not specially interested in the sound, as my field work in essentially the MIDI ... and this card possde 2 excellent A / D converters, it is in its low latency (2 ms at 96 kHz) that my choice was the era t determinant.

I say the era because, although today it still performs the functions for which I bought Cubase SX stability, excellent latency, high quality audio outputs), the evolution sound cards and operating systems make dsormais deprecated its existence for at least two reasons empty:

- M AUDIO does not currently its compatibility with Windows Vista (even if it is not that great to run under Vista computer music). His latest driver, perfectly stable on XP SP2 that said, dates back at least a year!

- The addition of hardware (Ethernet, WiFi, USB ...) may cause instability of Systm (like your driver audio s'altre and without knowing why?)

In a résumé trs good map for those who remain under DSIR XP Pro and who intends to use the PC for music and start Age of Empires 3 from time to time, like me.

For others, forget it happened seven years which is much in computing, even music!

OVERALL OPINION

I never used to other models of this type before!

With the experience I would have made the same choice of the era!
Today I desert it certainly!
