I was looking for a good sound card cheap, powerful enough for the small home studio and has the midi interface.
At the time (around 2000 I think) I still had to be already running XP and Cubase VST32. Since then, the card went smoothly on 2 or 3 new PC configurations without any problems and Cubase SX, but I'm not passed on Vista or 7.

UTILIZATION

Drivers are regularly updated by M-Audio.
Latency is imperceptible, even under 44khz. I do not have my PC on hand to check, but from memory it should be under 12ms to 44khz and 48khz at 8 under.
Question number of tracks, I've never pushed to its limits ... I perform a reasonable mix that rarely exceed 10 tracks.
No doubt that the components are not worth those of a pro config, but honestly the sound is really excellent.

GETTING STARTED

I do not recall having experienced any problems during the various installations and relocations that I had to do.

OVERALL OPINION

I must have over 10 years I think. Now, I use more often than one external interface Line6 UX2 because I am a guitarist and it allows me to directly connect my guitars (great product incidentally). But I always use the Audiophile recordings for MIDI, and sometimes also in general release.
I do not know if it is still marketed, but it was really a good product with excellent value for Q / P I think.
