Handle very enjoyable common to all of the series Guils gad, nothing to envy to American Guild
no cutaway but no need for that kind of scratch
the balance of the guitar is perfect, it is light enough

UTILIZATION

The neck is thin enough for a sound and is very comfortable, access to acute is difficult from the 14th box.

SOUNDS

- I play a little bit of everything and the sound of this audio is its strong point, a well present, although a massive dreadnought all the strings are well balanced giving a sound not too low or too much treble.

OVERALL OPINION

Difficult to find, ordered a pitcher has nimes n roll for € 549 (delay of 3semaines) the price / quality ratio is exceptional.
I do it again this choice without hesitate

[edit December 2009] After three years playing on this guiatre, I do not really regret my purchase. The only downside is that the bass is still very present with this guitar. To balance all my strings I 12-53 Light Elixir that adds shine and the sound is finally on top. I highly recommend this guitar for its looks and its sonoritées. The handle is very nice.

I am always attracted by the sound of a guitar and his first appearance in a second time. I was faithful to the guitars made in Canada. A Normann B20 CW and Seagull Maho HG were my favorite small collection. And lightning! A shiny brown hit me in the eye. Guild GAD 25, why not? Perhaps initially cringe, because made in China, far from the workshops at the maple leaf and philosophies attractive. A quick glance inside the box is very reassuring. It's clean, clear and flawless. When the wood while it is not anything solid though, it is beautiful. The mahogany used is a dark caramel color, with alternating light and dark lines which are reversed with the play of light. A joy to handle. The marks on the head of the handle is pearl simple but very pretty. Pins keys have various shades. The bridge and fingerboard are rosewood, which goes very well with the rest of the mahogany guitar. The rose is more than a simple alternation of black and white circles. Pretty no more. I imagine that this guitar is the price at which proposed, it is difficult to do more. The binding is very nice wood edged with the cold plastic sometimes found on the instruments of this price range. The back of the guitar has a wood grained less but still fun to watch. The two sides are separated by a mesh inlay refined and discreet. The ribs are as beautiful as the table that was not the case on a second copy seen in the same place where I bought it (it looks more like the back). In summary a joy to watch.

UTILIZATION

Take the guitar in hand. One word, easy. It is a bit heavy, but the depth is less important than the Canadian models. The gloss provides a very soft and the handle end allows enough chain arrangements without effort. Fairly flat heel allows easy access to acute even if the lack of cutaway arises. Grover has the oil bath guarantee stable and accurate tuning when the strings youth exceeded. The frets are fairly high if not aggressive. In terms of changing strings, bridge crossing requires a step that remains to be addressed carefully.

OVERALL OPINION

After trying dozens of guitars from 200 to 3000 euros, I must say that I found there, a little over 600 euros, the guitar I wanted. A look terrible and highly differentiated compared to most guitars on the market. A nice side jewel, without luxury and ostentatious glitz. A sound to fall backwards, you are playing in agreement or a technical solos reasonable. In short, a quality / fun / hard price to compete. On top of that beautiful comes in a jewel case covers-vintage beauty. While the Chinese-made little scare, but only if you try it soon reassured. Afford a Martin, a Taylor or a Guild USA is perhaps dreaming but I think this guitar is worth taking the time to compare it with others ... and take home.
