« its hot for an amp of this size »
Published on 09/14/12 at 03:19This amp is very polyvalant,
I'm keyboardist, I am often called upon to play the digital piano
and I also use it for my Rhodes MK1, either directly on a guitar input (a Rhodes can be compared to an electric guitar in principle) or line input when using my rack effects (mainly AmpliTube) .
Frankly the sound is very loyal, very clean, ideal for the piano and it is rare for this type of amp.
The BA-330 is also developing a nice well rounded bass.
For cons, I find it downright lack of power for its size.
I compared it with a Roland AC-60 (2x30W), and the latter, which is half smaller, more potato really ... but the sound is much better on the BA-330 is much broader, more natural than the AC-60.
In summary,
Ba-330 format and its really suitable for keyboardists (thanks to its stereo), but too strong for my taste.
If Roland fate one day "BA-660" with the same sound, the same size, but double the power, it will be perfect ...
