I just received my second micro today: that's it I have nothing but couples!
It really is unsaturated, a little color ... Really heavy!

It is a tube microphone for singing and decision-acoustic guitar sound in any case I think is the place!

OVERALL OPINION

I just receive it so I do a battery test, first of all I bought this microphone to catch his vocals and acoustic guitar and also because it is more than twice as expensive "o 'sta Kingdom "(with the Yanks!).

I compare the vocals and acoustic guitar has an AKG C414, well my friends AT4060 wins hands down, it is clear, precise and lamp gives that little something extra at the bottom that makes all the difference!
on the other hand I have taken tests for the amp and although it's not terrible, it's not meant to! there is no substitute for a 421 amp!
for percussion and I could not test it thoroughly but the AKG C414 is suitable notice

so if you buy this mic in America is a killing, it's worth serious it!!

OVERALL OPINION

What a sound! Very detailed and subtle. Very warm, velvety. Feeling of "material" of "texture". Excellent vocal microphone!

It may lack a low-cut filter ...

I tried C 414, AT 4040, Neumann TL 103 ... (All three good performers, however, but a class below)

Excellent value for money, bought in the U.S. on Ebay (found at 480 E, then E 700 all inclusive with me!)

I intend to recommend one!

OVERALL OPINION

This mic is a great unknown ... Very high quality workmanship, excellent sound definition, with a generous medium low just right, a sharp and precise, never aggressive, the female voices are particularly well captured and returned ... He did considerable work at home, or it allows me to give body to sound a little slender instruments (any kind of flute ...) he fought with aggressive class of certain sources "aggressive" (bagpipes, accordion ), all acoustic instruments in general, he treats them divinely well ... I plug a red8 Focusrite, the couple is perfect warmth, detail is very thorough as his, we respect him as the source adds a subtle heat that "lampesque. It is very well ORTF pair, so, so, I assure you, as in XY ... A versatile cash even "cuivraille" ... Audio Technica mics can do good, that's undeniable, but its range, this one, misunderstood, for me is the best and most successful, he will not break in my park, surrounded by Neumann, AKG etc. .. . A wise choice to start at the top of the range, a very happy marriage with Red 8 ...

Superb microphone, with his personality, really extra on wood and brass, and very interesting voices in some style (warm and intimate ...). Value for money, unbeatable on the other side of the Atlantic, and more than correct here ... When we find ...

This is a tube condenser mic made by Audio Technica. After doing some research I discovered that this was the first tube mic that this company has made, which is notable as they are becoming a more popular brand all the time for their variety of quality gear. It's definitely too fragile to be used anywhere but the studio, so no gigs with this guy! It has its own power supply as most tube-based mics will. It has only one pickup pattern, which makes it a little different from some of my go-to tube mics such as those made by AKG or Neumann, but this tends not to matter much as I usually just use it for vocals anyway. It also doesn't have a pad or cut on it which makes it a little less useful than some other mics of this nature but that can also be avoided, either by buying pads or having pads and cuts on your pre-amps or channel strips.

OVERALL OPINION

I think that this is a really good sounding tube mic. While some of them are known to be really noisy, this one doesn't have that issue. It likewise doesn't really color or distort the sound as much as other tube mics have been known to do. Don't get me wrong, it does distort/color a little bit, especially in the lower range, but I think that overall it's a lot less than most mics of this nature. I've really only used this on vocals and acoustic instruments such as guitar and violin, though I must say I got the best response from vocals.
This can be a good or bad thing depending on what you want to get out of tube mics. Some people are looking for a little support from mic coloring, otherwise don't really want that at all. I think that the best way to determine is to try it for yourself.
This is a really well-priced microphone. That's a great enough reason to buy it, though remember that it doesn't have pads, high or low pass filters, or different pickup patterns. If that's a deal-breaker for you, buy something a little better. Otherwise this is definitely useful.
