Variety of Sound has released its ThrillseekerVBL free VST plug-in for Windows x32.
ThrillseekerVBL is a modified emulation of a vintage broadcast limiter based on Variable-MU principles. Variety of Sound specifies that its behavior is slower than a brickwall-type limiter.
The plug-in features gain reduction as well as harmonic distortion amount and appearance controls in the analog tube circuit.
An audio transformer simulation with harmonic distortion modeling for the full frequency range was also added.
