UTILIZATION

Handle very nice, access to acute not always easy but hey, I knew what to expect when buying a copy of LP.
I play mostly on stratocaster therefore with respect to the latter, the interface is frankly crap: no bevels, selector, in my opinion, misplaced, inaccessible volume knob while playing, ... but hey, again, I knew what to expect.
It fits perfectly the agreement, no fret no more, the Cherry Burst finish is gorgeous == perfect.

SOUNDS

When empty, it resonates well, vibrates a lot and has an amazing sound projection, so good sign.

Connected, it straightens the hair on the ass, straightens a hunchback, is a hard-ass bowl, waking the dead, startled a deaf ... so to speak. In fact, before buying a new amp, I played on AVT100X Marshall (which I also issued a notice for that matter) that really gave him no justice.
For over a month or so, I plugged into a 45 Blackstar Series One, and there frankly is impeccable!
Playing with the equation of the amp and the guitar knobs, I can really get all the sounds you can imagine!
The neck pickup is in clear sound and crunch, warm, round, strong but gentle at the same time, very jazzy, even if it sometimes lacks a bit of fishing. In full, I find it less usable, a little too serious for my taste, as a slight overhead low, which is surely its slight lack of energy.
In lead, it is ... how to say ... moving! It transcribes perfectly expressive of the game's guitar, as if his lack of energy was gone, I use it a lot in this area elsewhere.
The bridge pickup is amazing. I already had on hand and repeatedly Gibson Les Paul (Standard and Studio) and I think this pickup flirts with perfect copy. Very aggressive, powerful, sharp, punchy with almost slamming adjustments. Great surprise!
Combining the two is again very close copy of the model: we gain medium, the bass is enhanced and powerful, we feel that all the guitar speaks, it vibrates in all directions. It looks like a lion's roar.

I play with everything: jazz, blues, pop, funk, rock, grunge, hard, ... and frankly it ensures everywhere, although of course the blues, rock and the hard left her chosen field, she is doing everywhere, it imposes its style.

It's been 8 months that I play every day, I tried various Les Paul before making my choice (Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded, Studio, Standard) and I wanted to give it a shot, saying that given the popularity of these models, I could sell it easily and once received, I was really surprised, by the general finish, its beauty, its sound qualities and his presence in the mix.
Awesome, I love everything about this guitar except for ergonomics that makes me a little shit but I'm starting to get used. The price / quality ratio is unbeatable and unexpected.
This choice I would do again in a second.

So we have a pretty versatile guitar (the CS-4 would be more in the vintage sounds, sound a little fatter, from what I read), which suits me perfectly, since I play clean, crunch and saturated in a register as vintage and modern.

With its clean, double-coil sound without making a pest, well balanced, with great presence, and in crunch, it can easily push the guitar stronger attacker. It's nice to be able to go from clean to crunch fat alone nuances to the attacks with a pick!

In full, the guitar took off the wallpaper! My word, this is america! A well full, precise, yet warm, a strong attack, sustain that you can go drink a coffee and worse troquet back, the guitar still sounds!

Well, I received this morning, I do not think is still around its possibilities, but I was already the proud father of a Gibson SG from home and I can say that the CS-3 has everything a great!

The finish is almost perfect, the guitar is very rewarding. The only defects are the key benchmarks of a little "cheap", and a small pet to the junction nut / lacrosse. Apart from that, no need to go pay a Les Paul I do not know how many thousands of dollars! Everything is there, and for 350 euros!

If you hesitate between Epiphone, Tokai, or Vintage, do not bother, the CS-3 is better finished and sounds are almost identical to the original. The Lyons Custom 77 makes the job of quality, and at that price, I'll pay a Les Paul in every Christmas! (Chouette! Les Paul copy of a French brand that manufactures in Korea.
Mahogany + maple shape close to an LP from the head and horn, everything else (electronics, hardware, frets ...) is like the real Les Paul.

It's a shame that I find ugly head, and this horn too sharp.

UTILIZATION

The handle is nice, a bit like my Epiphone Les Paul Standard, thinner than my Gibson Les Paul Studio (it's a real log!).

SOUNDS

I speak here of the crunch, I use it (and fuzz, but good).
The microphone is very close to the acute Gibson 498T, which are the traditional Gibson humbuckers mounted on quite a LP and SG.
Sounds so modern, midrange tones and tight grain. It does not lack for much treble, the guitar has a lot of response and brightness typical fat Les Paul. It vibrates a lot when we play, it seems that a good sign, at least it's nice.
The neck pickup I was very disappointed, I find it soft and unanswered. Well I'm using it not so much less serious for me.
The guitar sound is very close to my Epiphone Les Paul Standard Gibson 498T pickups mounted and 490R, with few exceptions: a little more treble on the bridge pickup for the neck pickup and a Custom77 much better on my Epiphone. Maybe he would have to go back a little closer to the strings ... I have not tried, but to see.
It sounds really mind Les Paul (in micro acute eh).
The sustain is excellent, although sounds are filled with a treat.
Excellent for the price, but what a shame neck pickup. I leave a note because I have not taken the time to settle (the back). It seems strange such a big difference between the 2 pickups.

OVERALL OPINION

To conclude, it's a great guitar, worth € 365 new, I just sell it for 250 € with his fly box, in my opinion a great deal.
I did not keep it because I have 2 LP at home, and I'm sentimental with my Epiphone, so that there is a party.

It amounts to good Epiphone Les Paul standard Gibson pickups upgraded in (except for the neck pickup), except that there is € 365 including VAT nine. For the same thing Epiphone: 370 € + 100 € microphones. So much better in my opinion, and she buries really Epiphone upgrade without microphones.

Mine is vintage sunsburst, the varnish is truly sublime and more than respectable finish for a guitar of this price. Binding well done, no or very few traces of glue or burrs, we do not even see the lines between different parts of the body (unlike my U.S. Tele which has cost nearly twice ..)

, so there are no major surprises. The guitar is heavy and thick for me which is more a sign of a quality defect. Once strapped, no worries, it falls well in hand, access to the most acute is not easy but again it is an LP eh, not an Ibanez.

SOUNDS

I played for years on a single guitar, a Telecaster U.S.. You have to admit that changes! I play on a Blackstar HT Club 40 (great amp by the way) and some type Big Muff pedals, Sachturator, Drive Master ..

Clean: I was expecting worse! I was really surprised by the softness of its light, the sound is very round, warm and "sweet." Arpeggios become creamy to perfection, always stay clean bass and treble is never strident. The output level microphones are quite high, it becomes quite easy to make cruncher clear sound, especially with a booster, it's really good! Although far less versatile and nuanced than my Tele, the CS3 was far from clean sound is so ridiculous.

Overdrive: The reason you buy a LP. Its a thick, rich and dare I say "thick". On the slight crunch of my Master Drive is a very bluesy sound in the vein of Led Zeppelin. Pushing a little more gain one little easily titillate distos Faith No More, Black Sabbath or Airborne.
Extreme metal seems a little hard to atteeindre although I was not the proper gear that can still find sounds very 80's type Motley Crue or Alice Cooper.

I use it for a month, alone and in groups. For the price I think we can hardly do better for an LP-like. Much better than Epiphone and much cheaper than the originals. I'm even pretty sure that the finish is better than a lot of at Gibson LP Studio.

Definitely, it is an alternative to my Telecaster very, very complementary. A good choice for the second guitar Fenderiens like me who can not afford a Standard.
