UTILIZATION
- Is the neck comfortable?
Very pleasant neck but you can change if your not satisfied.
Is the access to the upper frets easy?
As easy as on a Les Paul... Very easy.
Is the instrument ergonomic (body shape, weight...)?
Very ergonomic instrument, the guitar is well-balanced and not tiring when standing up.
- Is it easy to get the right sound?...
Custom sound... Which means you can always change the pickups if you're not satisfied.
SOUNDS
Do they fit your music style?
I had the pickups changed because I was looking for a different sound.
Which amp(s) or effect(s) do you use with it?
Marshall JCM 900 + POD
What kind of sounds do you get and which settings do you use ("crystal-clear", "fat", ...)?
Fat rock'n'roll distortion sound.
Which sounds do you prefer / hate?
I love the typical rock'n'roll sound produced by the pickups, but the original ones were better for blues stuff.
OVERALL OPINION
How long have you been using it?
Just over two months.
Which feature do you like the most / the least?
Pros: the great rock'n'roll look in carbon and aluminum style, custom finish, very good playability.
Did you try any of other models before buying this one?
I tried out an SG, a Strat and I found they had no particular sound character. With this custom model you won't have the same sound as everyone else.
How would you rate its value for money?
It's an expensive guitar but if I were to sum all the money I've payed for new and secondhand low-end and moderate priced guitars during the past years, I could easily buy this custom guitar.
Based on your experience, would you buy this product again?
I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again: great sustain and dynamic range, playability and looks. Custom tone since I could freely choose the pickup set I wanted. A wonderful guitar...
