UTILIZATION
The handle is not pleasant, it is for me ... much more than that!
Les Paul shape, very good ergonomics ... the beast still weighs his weight! (4.3 kg) compared to others ... but behind it, big sound and sustain are waiting for you! (I play Rock, no funk, lol)
Access to the 22nd fret is not easy but not insurmountable, must get used.
The sound palette is interesting and extensive, since each microphone can be split into simple, which suggests opportunities config 8 microphones ... and little more: a push / pull that Boost all 15 db!
SOUNDS
Fat crystalline, A Beautiful palette types of sounds, it suits my style ziques (Rock, Metal, Pop, Pop, Acoustic, Instrumental) and I imagine many others ...
My Les Paul is connected to a multi-effects POD X3 Live in Stereo wired to a power amp Hughes & Ketner, which are connected 2 Cab Marshall 2X12 8 ohms.
It is rather out of habit, but ... My favorite sounds go BurstBucker humbucking bridge for what is rhythmic, the handle P-90 humbucker for most solos (but not all), and the combination of these 2 single coil pickups in the majority of clear sounds.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it .... only 4 days! (But I feel I know her for a long time ) Of course, I have yet to discover a lot of things!
This is my first Gibson Les Paul, so far I played Aria, Yamaha, and more recently on Ibanez or Hagstrom (I do not give much for the last 2)
What I like the most?
Color, varnish, its reliefs, its handle, its microphones and microphones config, and something which I did not expect ... the Min-anda system (automated tuning), and also its pretty all dressed in Case white.
A quality / good price and a choice I do not regret!
