UTILIZATION
Level game is fantastic, I love thin and tall frets. No one else got as much satisfaction on this point. It's easy to play blues and rock phrasing or more are easily shredder. Against access by the sharp point is not strong.
The neck is very thick, so it remains to see if it suits you. Personally I think we get used to it very well, the hand is in position callee blues. Position in jazz that is not annoying for my taste. Basically when moving from one guitar to handle an end to this one it's a shock. But in the end you get used to. Try it anyway because it is part of the factors to consider when buying.
The guitar is well known, is heavy. It is not a problem while sitting biensur (even if less comfortable than a Start), but better off standing a thick strap.
Indeed on this point I would note that the straps must be avoided with regular tips in leather. These are deformed and the metal fittings designed to attach said strap are too small to hold the strap.
My guitar and fell heavily twice and given the weight, it has done harm. Thus provide a strap that snaps and the problem is solved.
The C-shape is also easily fall when the guitar laying back on an amp. Always ask the front (or better put in Cases, Hard preferred).
Note also that there is a little weak in the head, because of the different falls of mine broke twice to this place. In short it is an instrument that requires the utmost care. Unfortunately I have never been so damaged that a guitar there and it's enough to want it. At the same time it's the one I used most and blows directly into it due to its weight and low ceilings of the garages which were repeated at the time.
SOUNDS
On this point there is so much to say that I would add just need to try it.
The sound is truly sublime. I played several guitars but I keep coming back to this one. As it is a good strat a rare and versatility suitable for many styles: blues, jazz, rock, hard, metal, etc..
Quite simply, with any amp it sounds. The sustain is huge and the heat generated single notes.
Micro Acute distortion, mind-blowing that is accurate, the palm muting style heavy metal sounds of hell.
The neck pickup gives a clear sound that I love personally. Satus the leads are fabulous at this position.
Only the intermediate position that I never use.
If you know one ringing guitar, it will reward you well. As against the contrary I have already try this with people who scratch, did not say a staggering level, and the sound was absolutely awful, to believe that the instrument was not the same.
OVERALL OPINION
This guitar I bought end 95 in Luxembourg, I was just 15 years. I had a cheap guitar before and since this instrumenet fascinated me, I wanted to move to the higher category. Upon entering the store I came across this Les Paul and I have wanted to let go. Which had a good time to pass the vendor (who farted not a word of French or Luxembourg for that matter).
And I have never regretted that choice, even years after. I got it for 800 € at the time. The price / quality ratio was therefore no question then.
The only thing I regret is not having been able to take enough care (due to points mentioned above).
It is also to me the most beautiful instrument in the world.
Basically a love story that lasts for more than 10 years.
