- 22 frets, resin button.
- Channel and 45mm mahogany body with maple table with 10mm
- Pickups Humbuckers and split-single, three-position switch
- Mechanical Hagtrom
The finish is decent, but did not reach the high end Epiphone LP (Tribute range).
UTILIZATION
This is one of the easiest guitars to play I could be in pognes.
Channel type 60 'intuitive. Access to acute Les Paul is typically so poor.
The resin key is a success, very pleasant to use, not to mention its durability over time compared with girlfriends maple, rosewood etc ...
The weight is therefore, there is solid wood and quantity, which will greatly influence the sound.
The holding of the agreement is good. The sustain is excellent.
The selection switch is an abomination to change emergency (sensitive to oxidation - 5 euros)
SOUNDS
This is a guitar that I had 3 years ago in another finish and resold. No particular criticism. I had given only to the sirens of an Epi Tribute with its top fittings and its US Gibson humbuckers made in 57 and split-classic, electronic sound neat and excellent finish ...
But just here is, with all these people, to use, I was far from feeling that I had with the Superswede.
The Epi Tribute is a great guitar, very close to some Giby LP, but its relatively forward medium, its lack of serious and sensitive sensuality in the low and medium sound twangy 57 Classic mode split me bitterly regretted the fact Superswede.
After trying a range of consistent LP like, I bought a Superswede. So let's talk about his level:
I play on Blacheart BH5, H & K tube Peavey Heritage and 25Th anniversary in 1980.
Position humbucker, this guitar has tremendous bass lined with excellent definition on the other spectra due to the consequent maple top. Low medium very warm, although this medium without excess, the highs are smooth and precise, harmonics fuse alone.
Sensuality and finesse are the two adjectives that come to me when I pull one over solos.
I play pop / blues / Rock for short. The sound is vintage and clearly will not suit a modern game in my opinion.
In split mode, the microphones are well above the classic 57 with a sound that wavers between a P90 and a single coil. The cleans are slammin and overdrive, squeak warmly.
OVERALL OPINION
This guitar is surprisingly versatile thanks to its beautiful violin pickups and split-and of good sound. In my opinion, these pickups have no interest to be changed.
It complements my custom Telecaster of 1978 in spite of the strident rhythmic.
This is now what might be called a safe bet. Of course, I have not tried everything suggested by the market and the level of manufacturers rises each year.
I look over in that price range. Suggestions?
