Hand made guitar (I think ...) in France. Mine dates from 2001.
This guitar is inspired by the Les Paul DC in terms of shape. The body consists of a beautiful piece of mahogany, but it is rather special because it is very light and resonant.
The neck is also mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard. The frets are rather small, especially compared to what Fender lately, but the game is pretty easy. Small problem: I had a little problem of "dead-note" at the beginning, due to fret a little high. The problem, however, has adjusted itself to force bends ... O)
The neck is fairly well balanced, neither too fat nor too thin ...
Electronic side, we have two P-90 pickups manufactured by Lag (officiellement. .. in fact I doubt it though, although they are good). Everything is governed by a 3-position selector ways LP and two volumes (with anti-capacitor loss of treble, and that's really good).
The bridge is a Badass, simple and reliable, but not great comfort for the palm-muting ...
In summary, a simple guitar and simple but well-built ...
UTILIZATION
Ergonomics are generally good. Access to acute is easy and light weight is a real asset in terms of comfort. The overall simplicity makes it a good guitar for the stage ...
SOUNDS
The sound is very good: I love especially the vacuum, which carries already the character of the guitar ...
I use this guitar with a Peavey Classic 30, and a good couple. This guitar excels in the crunch, which makes a beast of blues-rock. The clean sounds are good, but I regret that the intermediate position is not as thin and hollow ...
Conclusion: If you are trash is not good ... If you are something else, it does, and with great personality ...
OVERALL OPINION
A good guitar, with lots of personality ...
