Model actually made in China, but controlled in France before sale (from what I've been told).
Maple set neck with rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets. Mahogany body into two parts (current models have a basswood body and flamed maple fingerboard). Tunomatic bridge, 2 humbucker Lag, and split. A volume knob for micro push-pull, a knob of general tone and a three-position switch (90% / 10% - 50% / 50% - 10% / 90%).
In short, that's good, unless you are a lover of vibrato. Special mention for the microphones and split, it has a lot of possibilities ... One might regret that the knobs are push-pull, not push-push, but it's really split hairs.
The finish is flawless. Nothing to say, it's really slick work. Hard to believe it comes from China!
UTILIZATION
First grip disappointing, "shit, I even have to get used to it like I always played on the skyscraper ..."
The handle is impressive ease, from bottom to top. It is not too large nor too late. It is against a hair too heavy compared to the body, creating a slight imbalance, the head tends to look at. Well it can be done very quickly, and it is largely compensated by the extraordinary gameplay of the handle.
Body shape can play sitting very comfortably.
The knobs allow an almost infinite number of settings, tweak it's all a pleasure. The agreement is good, with flawless mechanics.
In short, once again, that's good, if not this slight imbalance, but again, I'm looking ...
SOUNDS
Question sounds, the RX200 is not the typical guitars, along with this price, we are dealing with what is best hope. Its great advantage is its versatility with two microphones and split Honourable quality, the sound palette is very wide: from simple micro acute in its very sharp and very flashy attack, the mic in his double-neck all round and hot, everything is possible: blues, metal, jazz, rock, punk, sludge ... the big, fat, the slamming, the sizzling, while the sweet, round, hot, you can do anything!
In short, an impressive range of sounds, and quality. I never tire of exploring its possibilities.
OVERALL OPINION
I have three years, and always with the same pleasure that I play it. I really fell in love with its shape, but also the playability and versatility. The only thing that finally got a little embarrassed, and even then just beginning, this slight imbalance of the handle, but it is quickly forgotten.
So sure, even if it is versatile, it has not the qualities of typed 3 guitars each worth 10,000 euros ... But she approaches it still okay, and so much cheaper! The price / quality ratio is unbeatable in my opinion. I have never seen another guitar together in the same price all the advantages of an RX200:
- A design to fall
- A flawless finish
- A disconcerting ease of play
- An incredibly versatile!
If I had to exchange it against another guitar, I would resume a Roxanne, without hesitation!
