LP-Shaped Guitar from LTD belonging to the Deluxe EC series

This model LTD Deluxe, so Korean manufacturing.
Set neck 24 frets, EMG60 in sleeve EMG81 in easel. A micro volume and tone potentiometer common to the two microphones. Earvana compensated nut, bridge TonePro, mechanical locking Sperzel, pickups selector 3 positions.

UTILIZATION

The handle has a satin finish very nice. Access to the 22nd freight is much easier than on a Les Paul, I find that the handle has 24. For cons, the 24th is as accessible as the 22nd on a Les Paul! The guitar is perfectly balanced, not too heavy, chamfered it right where it should be. I found the game very easy on this guitar, it sounds alone, but if only one using a micr ... I must say that mine is set to perfection (thank you to Olivier Lead Music, Geneva). If I down the thick rope (.052 in C #) would do a quarter tone, the frieze. With my tuning, perfect, action / intonation / voltage. The bends are much easier than my other guitars. on the other hand, because it has 24 frets, the neck pickup is thereby shifted a few centimeters, which requires a little adaptation (a good ten minutes!)

SOUNDS

I play mostly power-metal, and the shovel is a real beast in distortion, it's tragic, both in Lead creamy (thank you EMG60) in staccato rhythm (EMG81 thank you)! These microphones have an amazing level of output, and give a dynamic crazy (even harmonics and highest notes are bumping hp!) The sound is as sharp as couillu is really good! I use a JCM800 in a Sovtek KT88 and MIG-50 in 6L6 (in stereo).
The clean is exploitable only if you know how to play with the knobs of the guitar, otherwise it crunch forever ... It is a princess in distortion, but it is completely dropped in clean compared to my Washburn WI68 Custom (which microphones and split, so ultra-versatile). However, it is doing more than well.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it only for three days, but I'm already attached. I was looking over a metal scraper and less "damage" my Washburn order to make the fool on stage, I no longer ... 4-5 years ago, I had a Les Paul fitted with EMG (81 & 85), but back then I did not play enough with the knobs of the guitar, so I found them unmanageable. I had sold, and replaced by Seymour Duncan. Now I get a lot better to tame these mics, and that's the ball! I understand those who find these mics too typical metal, you just explain what are the small buttons that turn on their shovel ...
The price / quality ratio is exceptional, given the microphones, mechanical, and instrument making in general.
I would do that choice for sure!
