A must on Les Paul

Navigator N-LP-380LTDPublished on 07/17/14 at 11:56

This guitar is made in Japan by the makers of ESP Custom Shop where each guitar is made by a single person from A to Z.

Channel and Honduras mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard Rio.
Nitro-cellulose lacquer.
Body binding / handle "long tenon".
Original pickups are Seymour Duncan SH55.

The handle is typical 50's, quite thick and the varnish is very thin, very nice and beautifully applied (great art), but with the disadvantage of being fragile.

UTILIZATION

Usability Les Paul with known about this type of guitar (including access to acute) disadvantages.

For those who like thick enough innings, it's comfortable.

The gameplay is excellent with the possibility to qualify the game with attack fingers or plectrum. My guitar is very dynamic.

SOUNDS

Good sound with the original pickups but I wanted PAF Alnico5 (of Sheptone) to have a different sound PAF Alnico 2.

My guitar has a great dynamic, she is nervous and reactive (vacuum connected as elsewhere). The sustain is really excellent.

The violin is very resonant with lots of harmonics, it really is a must for me the sound level.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for over 2 years and I am more than satisfied. I've owned a lot of LP mij all brands and Navigator are really above the rest.
Before buying the Les Paul, I bought a Telecaster from the same brand and very strong impression had pushed me to leap for LP.

The original pickups are good but with such a violin, I mounted microphones "boutique" Sheptone that allow me to get the sound and character that I expected.

The price is therefore (new and used) but it is a guitar luthier made with selected materials and excellent craftsmanship. All this logically but pays the instrument is really excellent.
