The body and neck are made of Honduran Mahogany, the body top is made of Spalted Maple with black Walnut and Indian Ebony accents. These bass guitars are  hollow, whereas most basses are solid body.

The 25 frets allow the player to reach at least 5 octaves comfortably, Basone Guitars say. Because of the wide long neck, two truss rods are used for extra support.

The Basone 6-string Bass is equipped with Gotoh 510 supertuners, Custom Gotoh 6-string Bass bridge, and Graphtech black tusq nut. The Bartolini pickup, with Ghost Acoustiphonic Midi Hexpander Piezo system lets the player plug in the instrument to an amp as well as play midi sounds through the bass (2 separate outputs).
