Italian luthier Manne will attend Musikmesse next week where he will showcase, among others, the Woody Phantom 5-string bass with phantom power.
The new Woody Phantom is a mix between a Satin Special 5, with burl poplar top, sycamore body and satin finish, and the Woody series designed for Daniele Camarda for the electronics. The latter includes passive volume and tone knob to adjust the built-in piezo, a passive filter with a load resistance control and a 6-way rotary selector for the bass cut condenser.
The bass features a preamp associated with the Manne piezo that will be powered via an XLR DI Output with phantom power. The system improves, according to Manne, the clarity, dynamics and frequential spectrum of the signal.
No information regarding the price of this Woody Phantom. You’ll find a presentation of the instrument at www.manne.com.
