UTILIZATION
The handle? Ben is a round flat and very clever made in Warwick should get used to just let go when his jazz bass for this gem, but once you get it, is enough to have fun.
This handle is designed for access to the latest frets, the body does not interfere.
Form, in addition to being pretty, is very nice for a game sitting or standing provided they do not take it to the chest.
The head is a bit heavy, it is slightly lean bass but hey, it will make very little account.
Even on a low end amp with a bass player with little experience, you realize the sound quality of this bass.
SOUNDS
For my style of music (very open but mainly rock / metal but assimilated jazz, blues and funk) it is PERFECT. Warwick done good for slap (my specialty) and the big rock well, but the versatility arises (Micros Jazz / Jazz assets) we get easily a well rounded sound that can transform at will well as a heavy metal or fat to the funk (but not muddy). With low well mounted, the sound is perfect for super heavy rock has provided you have an amp that makes sense.
For my part I hate sounds too passive, soft, muddy. but this bass does not know.
OVERALL OPINION
I use depui a year and I have an extreme satisfaction. One small problem remains: There is no switch active / passive. for good versatility is better but ... with a good preamp to the rule though.
I tried a lot of 5 string models before I decide (Cort Curbow, yamaha rbx 775, fender mex jazz bass. 5c, ...) but none gave me as much pleasure as the warwick. more it weighs only 3.6Kg this is ideal for the stage.
Quality / price ratio? it is simply the royal side. to € 700? it would cost € 1000 that I still find affordable quality and not for my budget.
Over time, more testing on other low budget and another? I think I bought ... Warwick Infinity NT German but this budget is a gift that I highly recommend!
