Two single coil passive Gotoh stamped Belle Isle
Preamp Gotoh
Volume, balance microphones, bass and treble

UTILIZATION

The handle is very nice, good grip despite the inherent size with 6 strings
A little disconcerting to play seated. Bass tends to slip because of the tiny lower horn that offers little support.
But very enjoyable to play standing.
Very good access to acute thanks to the cutting of the body.
Beautiful sound palette, within the preamp and mic placement. No complaints.

SOUNDS

I play mostly funk, jazz, blues and rock.
This bass is perfect for all styles, the sound is clear and defined, good punch, good musicianship, good well cavernous bass and treble singing. Can be a little lack of personality (but then a bit), which compensates by eq settings, effects, or style of play I would say the lack is in the low mids ...
I received BEADGC and have mounted EADGCF, I played a lot in agreements with a group of pop soul, the sound was very consistent and clear, perfect for "playing the role of the keyboard."
Frankly, great sound!

OVERALL OPINION

I've had it about 5 years.
I wanted a 6 string for some time, and as if by chance, bassist boyfriend a pianist friend (...) had it for sale for months. My heart missed a beat!
I've bought him 600euros with a cover.
I'm still very happy with this whim, and I am still very proud to own this instrument if it is not a true creation of Leduc is a great 6-string bass, at home anywhere , fun to play ... Almost everything a great!
Basically, I love my little Belle Isle ...
