I got this bass in Greece. While touring with my band, I was looking for something professional and cheap enough, the golden combination, you might think. Well, YES, it is!!! I paid an equivalent to 700 USD for this lovely piece of art. It is a 5-strings and responds to every single touch.

This bass a quite a piece. From the moment you see it you literarily cannot take your eyes off it. The personality of the sound is enormous and that B at the top is really potent!!! Many cabs can tell you how they have suffered because of the ultralow frecuency of this babe.

The unit should have a separated bridge control for each string to avoid "transmission".

This is very solid indeed!!! You feel the real man "wearing this babe. Yet, it is stylish enough to put you as the core of attraction in concerts. My fellow bass players say it is one of the greatest combination of sound and beauty in the market.

Give it a try. It is superb!!!!

UTILIZATION

I use it for 2 years of really good stuff Roundness powerful attacks of extreme severe. What flow! Trs good report quality price and what finish. Warning! we must invest in an amp and speakers of quality pre ampl not need one in place is at the top I do not suggest a beginners pout, she forgives little default, given its sensitivity. For the weight is the average access to the treble a little different simple matter of habit. The look is superb

Body is made of lower-grade U.S alder, 24 frets on the fingerboard.
2 humbuckers (Washburn 951 and 953), active preamp with 2 band EQ, big bridge, one volume, 2 EQ, microphone switch.
The maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard rather fluid and easy.

UTILIZATION

Good ergonomics, soft handle and easy to play.

SOUNDS

The active pickups and eq allow great versatility of heavy through the lens of the property and all round it in direct console (the preamp is very effective).

OVERALL OPINION

I've had 2 years I traded against the same in 4 strings (XB400) frettless which sounded quite terrible.
it's a very nice 5 string bass well balanced and very enjoyable.
The current value for money is very good, I paid 4000Fr (600€) for my XB400 a decade ago.
