All user reviews for the Csound Blue

Blue is a graphical interface for csound that works with java, so cross-platform. Installation is no problem under Windows with an installer. Its operation depends on proper installation of the Java runtime and software csound.

There is no inconsistency to my knowledge.

Setup is simple and intuitive.

The help manual is in English, full of screenshots and its evolution follows the evolution of soft. You can always do better in this area but it seems sufficient to cover the functionality of the software.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

AMD Duron 1.6 GHz, 256 M0 RAM, Sound Blaster sound card with driver KX 10k1 1024, Windows XP pro.

The software works satisfactorily for use probably average, but I plan to increase my ram.

The configuration is stable.

OVERALL OPINION

I am developing this software long time.
I tried other interfaces for csound and publishers and I find that Blue actually makes available software (csound) difficult to access. This does not take an interest and develop a knowledge of csound remains necessary.
It is free software, such as csound, the team that takes into account the development needs of users and sources are available.
Unfortunately there is little interest in French csound and its interfaces.
