Best value:
Excellent
Made in China. Nothing to say on this, flawless finishes. Pity that the plastic used for the knobs and micro cap selector are a little cheap.
I bought the guitar used. It shipped in its hardshell case but the cap on the toggle switch case exploded during shipping.
maple neck with rosewood fingerboard
2 splittable burns tri-sonic pups (humbucker and single coil)
2 knobs to adjust volume and tone, three-way pickup selector switch. Barring error on my part this means a total of 8 possible combinations and also a wide palette of subtle sounds.
UTILIZATION
Beautiful neck.
Excellent ergonomics, comfortable fit.
Easy access to high notes.
Good tones galore! The challenge is to choose which one.
SOUNDS
It suits me perfectly and can play a broad range of styles.
Tone is versatile and balanced.
I just received it so it will take me some time before I can say more about the sounds obtained.
For now I tried it with a 5E3 clone and an AC15 clone. Goes well with both.<div>Terrific growl!</div>
OVERALL OPINION
I've only had it for a couple of hours so this opinion is certainly premature, but I find it really great.
I tried a lot of guitars before. I was attracted by the look of the Burns, so special and a perfect complement to my Burns Steer.
At present I love everything about this guitar except the cheap plastic elements and mechanics that are a little cramped on the headstock.
Excellent value for money.
I would easily make this choice again without delay for the singular beauty of the guitar (a subdued Wandre) and what seem to be so far excellent dynamics.
The hardest decision will be what to wear to wear on stage and towards which planet to travel.
