UTILIZATION

The handle is a highway as may be an ibanez but it is very comfortable and offers a very good feeling. The access to acute is not bad but not great. Compared to the ibanez saber that I had before, this guitar is a guitar shredder, but is much more comfortable for the rhythm. If I were best in solos, I would hold perhaps a different story ...

SOUNDS

OVERALL OPINION

I own this guitar for more than three years before her, I had an ibanez saber (650euros) and an ibanez rg (900euros). None of these guitars has overwhelmed me, in my hands soon, soon made me a new eye ... The Ravello ® is manufactured in China, but its level of finish is perfect on mine.
The flamed maple table Class 5-A, is simply magnificent.
The mahogany back and sides are dark red color and carries the sensations it provides sound to the instrument, the cream-colored binding does not contrast too much with the red wine but is aptly highlight the seductive curves of the Ravelle.

Its mahogany neck / rosewood fingerboard (trapezoidal inlays) features a series of 22 jumbo frets, and then just blend (set neck) in the body of the Ravelle.
It is extended by two home hambuckers Duncan Sh2 Jazz a handle and an SH4 Jeff Beck bridge.
As for the strings, they are provided:
- Grover ® oil bath (Tender)

UTILIZATION

Player on the handle of a Ravelle is having in the palm of course the ease of a Ibanez married to the sweetness of a bent Gibson.
Personally, it's always a pleasure to play in this round.

I mainly play the "pop-rock" (alternating sounds clear and punchy distos melodious even) with a Vox ToneLab SE preamp out into an amp (neutral) Tech 21 Power Engine 60.
Sounds Jazzy / Bluesy (by cutting the treble), crystal clear sound (you can feel the warmth of mahogany anyway), sounds good big Rock ... For metals, the Duncans are not EMG81 (but you already knew).
I love the warmth and roundness of sound, which can turn at will into crystal clear with a superb sustain ...
The bridge pickup is much more precise than might be expected for a hambucker, and cutting a little low, are closer to the sound universe of some Fender Stratocaster like (of course impossible to obtain the "twang" of a Telecaster with specific cons).
The neck pickup is round and warm, but lack of definition and fishing saturation.
Looking back, I plan to change it can be (not being a Jazzman).

Six months Ravel is my home ...
I immediately flashed on her looks: beautiful and unique, attractive and engaging.
However if you prefer a more Lespaul look, the Fernandes Monterey should please you (with similar characteristics).
It's really a great guitar for anyone who wants to invest in an instrument of excellent quality, without paying the musical history and reputation which the legend of some brands (€ 720 delivered in a beautiful hard case Fernandes at home).
The other advantage is that you will not have such a guitar, but the sounds of your own.
In other words, you play on the versatility of the instrument to find the types that make you sound off.
