Franko HARDRIDER
« The Collector! »
Published on 10/12/10 at 14:53American manufacturing from 1986 to the time when Kramer was the rising brand popularized by Eddie Van Halen.
Schaller mechanics.
The maple neck is thin and D with rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets.
The body is (I think) in poplar, with a Floyd Rose and Seymour Duncan pickups 3 in the SSH configuration. 5-way switch for both singles and doubles; and 3 position switch for humbucker (double, 1 single, 2 singles).
This is the omnipolyvalente guitar! ;dropoff Window ) )dropoff Window
USE
This guitar is made for hard rock and metal but also for the blues and other styles (Funk, Jazz ...).
The handle is very comfortable and not too wide or too big (I have no big paws or fingers 20cm long) and I played for 20 years with a height of improper strings too high, you will not say dramatic advances ...)
Access to the treble is very good!
The guitar is not too heavy and fits perfectly without fatigue when standing. Very well balanced.
SOUNDS
I bought it at the time (1987) for playing Metal made after putting their hands on a Fender Telecaster 1968 pourave completely bought used in 1976.
She was accompanied by an amp MARSHALL LEAD 150 WATTS purchased together
(All my savings were spent there)) until I make recently acquired a 15 PEAVEY VYPYR.
On either the sound is fabulous (true and versatile on the most artificial and uniform on MARSHALL PEAVEY).
The humbucker is powerful and surprisingly warm, with excellent harmonics and a remarkable silence.
With single coils it is also warm to the middle one (ideal for harpèges) and a little harder to handle (perfect for blues). In addition, they are fairly noisy for simple.
Whether distortion or clean the each other perfectly satisfy what can be expected of them.
It really is a versatile guitar.
Floyd performed more than his task correctly.
NOTICE GLOBAL
It has been a favorite purchase, the love of my life! !dropoff Window )dropoff Window
At that time I knew dal and may be I paid too much (5000 francs with the amp I think) but I have never regretted my purchase (less for the amp) to the point of wanting to be buried with
if I were to disappear prematurely))
I use it for 20 years more or less regular. I've never done revise and in 2000 I recorded my last song (so I played it (amateur) for 13 years). Then almost nothing (about 2 minutes every three months: ((
2010 I decided to get back. Ill-conditioned, the beauty is in a pitiful state. Illico presto I bring in the luthier the corner. A hundred, and a little more, euros later I found a new guitar and unbelievably perfect in terms of playing comfort. Cleaned the handle and string height set (adjusted), the guitar is revealed in all its quality. An absolute joy!
I had tried it at the Salon de la Musique in Paris. I had found it very comfortable after being disappointed by JACKSON and other BCRich to too large frets.
Nearly 25 years later, this guitar has not aged a bit and always attracted me as much as in the early days ...; ) )dropoff Window
I would do this choice today? Too beautiful models, I would buy them all!
I have recently acquired a Telecaster "60th anniversary" (used (the century)) and most recently a BC Rich WARLOCK DARK ARTS (new) that are absolutely fabulous but have nothing to do with my KRAMER is unique! !dropoff Window My collector!
Was added to the collection a BC RICH BEAST V NT (new) with neck-through absolutely fabulous! No comparison!
