I put eight because I would have liked a second volume knob, which is the 50th anniversary, but for 400 euros more But I nitpick because it's still very good.

UTILIZATION

For weight, it is light enough, I did not weigh but it is not at all heavy in terms of feeling. The guitar is relatively small, it is very nice and it is not cumbersome for two pennies.

The neck is satin (I love * _ *). Rather broad and does not reach the dimensions of a Les Paul (from memory), it is however thicker and fits comfortably in your hand.
Access to acute is easy, without reaching that of a super strat, the cutaway allows for "maneuver"
without difficulty, and letting go of beautiful solos.
It is very "plug n play ', you plug the microphone is selected, and anyway it sounds ...

SOUNDS

Overall the guitar is quite nervous, the bolt-on neck combination (but very well screwed) and body Silver Silkwood (which is similar to mahogany) gives a nervous guitar with a very honest sustain without flipping, and very responsive to attack. It has a sort of cross between a Les Paul and a Duensenberg (in solidbody)
I play in a 12 Ampeg JET-64, so a priori not suitable for rock, but with a rich bass and clear midrange sound, very nice for blues, that crunch fast enough.
Yet. Yet. The neck pickup gives a clear view superb crunch, very deep and hyper expressive sound. A little treat for the blues-men. It engages in the middle position, with the bridge pickup non-split. The sound is well balanced, and strangely a song imposes itself: Sultans of Swing. The sound is not the same, but I've never tried a guitar that made her so beautiful (though God knows I play bad). It starts the split, and then we went into the land of funk, which confirms once spent on the bridge pickup split. An important info: we do not lose output level split, we just lose fat and gaining momentum and clarity ... One of the best split ever!
And now the most interesting part: the bridge pickup in humbucker mode. A KILLING! A potato hell, hyper expressive: Led Zepplin with a good OD, which can become Black Sabbath once a well thrust saturation, punk-rock with Green Day with a distortion not too loaded, see good hard rock families. And with a fuzz (and here no matter the switch position), it is monstrous. It's full, dynamic, disgusting as it should be while being hyper controllable and expressive. The splayfooted ...
And all this without background noise (except split, sisi the neck pickup is a simple and yet no noise).
A killer, full of character, with the violin that reasons please ...

OVERALL OPINION

I've had some time (I would put the notice up to date in a few months and I would have bled), and I'm in love. I tried tons of guitars, no not suit me, I was looking for a great violin, and I found it, and the pickups are more killings. Compared to an SG Standard in 2007, the Maton fared better on all fronts. The light crunch and saturated sounds ring at all possible switch positions with the lowered tone or substance, and more on what the Ampeg amp capricious.
A real treat was my gift 18 years, I intend to keep it until it makes the soul, and I feel that I would have time to leave before her.
If you find one, and you like the slightly different forms, and guitars with their own character, not trying to imitate the classics: DARK, you will not regret it, it's an absolute killer ... I put 9 because the perfect guitars do not exist, but for that price, I think we are approached
