2 humbucker splitable
2 tone
Volume 2
an out of phase switch
a 3-position selector switch
ultra fast neck maple
21 frets
UTILIZATION
Original pickups are single and double pass by manipulating tones
I have changed the pickups for SD with a real clear sound.
heavy guitar with sustain the RDV ...
mechanical states and never moves!
a little less playable than SG / LP / strat but with a sound ..... MY SON!
SOUNDS
distos are even better than my SG standard .... and I have a clear sound and more!
having changed the pickups I'm not going to dwell here ...
OVERALL OPINION

I inherited this guitar ... after micro "cooked" I did refretté and changed the micro and ectronique (switch off the stage and now a split single-coil pickup on)
the sound is daunting ....
if a Peavey T60 crosses your path take in hand .... we like it or not the handle (with changeable handle telecaster for example) we like it or not the pickups .... but the finish is indestructible and violin deserves time stop it ....
1 model guitar in the world designed using CNC (which are the industry standard for ...) so a true piece of history with a real guitar sound and / or true ability!See less60 - MGR/Soul Driver 77
Peavey T-60
Published on 12/25/02 at 15:00This was my first Guitar,I purchased it from my uncle who bought it new in 1978.
I paid $250.00 for it. He had several guitars that I could have purchased, but this one had its own unique look to it.
(It is all solid OAK with a Maple Neck)
I now have several guitars(6) and none of them feel like they are built as solid as the Peavey. It is very easy to restring and tune. In fact it keeps a tune quicker than any of my other guitars do after being restrung. Including my Les Paul Custom!!!
Once its tuned it doesnt come out of tune.
I think it has orignal Grover Tuners on it.

It sounds awesome with its two chrome covered Seymour Duncan Humbuckers ,and has several different sound combinations. I like the fact that each pickup has its own tone and volumes along with phaser switches. Its as reliable as any of my guitars, and just looks great with the solid natural oak body and black pickguard. The neck is very slim for fast action.
The only thing I have ever disliked about this guitar is its overall weight. You pay for it being constructed so well after you have been on stage for two plus hours playing it. I now use it as my backup, and primarily play the les paul custom, which is heavy in its own right, but not as heavy as the Peavey. I also dont like the fact that Peavey Guitars are so underrated, especially being manufactured in the USA.
As I said before You will be hard pressed t ofind a Better Built Guitar!!! Even with a bolt on neck this baby is Stout.
Quality is great, it always stays in tune, to prove it I will tell a very short story
At a college party a few years back I was playing, and had had a few to many if you know what I mean. I got a little cocky and threw her up in the air to show of in the middle of a solo, what I didnt realize was there was a ceiling fan right above me. The Guitar hit the ceiling fan, and was slung a good distance across the room. I picked it up and hit a G Chord, and it was still in tune!!!!
You cant beat the Humbucker Sound as far as My taste goes. This guitar has quality written all over it, and if you can find one for sale, buy it!! They are hard to find, because people love them, and wont sell them!!!
The Peavey T-60 is a great all around Guitar, whether you play Rock/Blues/or Country, you will love it. It always stays in tune, which is very important to most players, and with its Double Humbuckers you could close your eyes and not tell it apart from my Gibson Tone Wise. You can actually play it in single coil mode as well, if you back the tone knobs down, and adjust your phaser switches. So its very versatile.
The price is another reason to get this one, right now these guitars are not very expensive, but they are hard to find. I would have to say its one of the most if not the most underrated Guitar I have ever played, seen or heard of.

Peavey T-60
Published on 06/02/02 at 15:00I bought this guitar on ebay for $280.00. I was looking for a good quality guitar that would stay in tune during live shows.
This is easily one of the best sounding guitars I have every played. Not only is the Peavey T-60 a nice guitar to look at, but the sound quality is absolutely amazing. I was very impressed by the variety of sounds I was able to get from the guitar. The two humbucking pickups sound very good. They provide a warm, powerful sound. This guitar has two humbuckers, however, if the tone is turned below five the humbucker goes single coil. Each pickup has its own volume and tone, which furthers the variety of sounds. There is a phasing switch which seems to add treble to the guitar. These guitars where made in America by Peavey from 1978-1988. Although they were not initailly popular they are quickly becoming collectable.
The only problems with this guitar is that it is heavy and unless you get one of the custom Peavey bags, it is very hard to find a case that fits.
Very firmly built and heavy. Nice sounds generated from humbuckers, phase switch, three way switch, and tone and volume knobs.
If you are looking for a high quality guitar and don't have the money to buy a Gibson or an American Fender, then play one of these guitars. It is a very good guitar and will please you no matter what type of music you enjoy.
