    Washburn X20-Series

    Washburn X20BPublished on 02/24/04 at 15:00
I ran accross this Washburn by accident. I was actually looking to buy a new amp at musiciansfriend.com I have a "Harmony" (strat-clone)which looks identical to other brands that are alot more expensive. I have done alot of research trying to understand the difference in price and as far as specs go, I never did find much difference. Anyways, I ran accross this Washburn X20 for $129, it retails for $329.

This guitar is awesome! It is very similiar to the Harmony when it comes to looks. Except it has one Humbucker? pickup and two single coil pickups. Right now I'm still using the amp that came with the Harmony (approx 6watt w/4" or 5" speaker). I can't believe the difference. It sounds so g…

It sounds so good and even plays so much smoother, it actually makes me sound like a better player than I am. Can wait to see what happens when I get the new Behringer GMX110 that I just order.

The only thing I don't like is it not having a pick guard.

the quality is great. it has the solid alder body, maple neck and 24 fret rosewood fret board with Grover 18:1 tuning keys

It just goes to show that just because two items may look identical does'nt mean they are. And it really does pay to be patient, look around and do your research.
