Steinberg Media Technologies announced the launch of its eLicenser Control Center software, an integral part of its eLicenser license management platform.
eLCC introduces a new GUI, additional features and an improved workflow, according to Steinberg, and replaces the former Syncrosoft LCC software.
eLCC is the first software component for the eLicenser platform released by Steinberg since its acquisition of the Syncrosoft eLicenser technology in October 2008.
The new features gives the ability to enter activation codes without having to start a wizard, support for drag and drop license transfer between eLicensers and the new My Licenses view. eLCC also offers an updated Help system including the addition of many context sensitive actions, and expands language support to a total of six languages.
Users of any previous Syncrosoft License Control Center version can download and use eLCC, regardless of whether their product is by Steinberg or one of the many other companies using the older Syncrosoft technologies, the company says.
“Although eLCC has been reengineered from the ground up, it is also fully backwards compatible, ” explained Bernd Peeters, Team Leader eLicenser Technology. “From 2010, all upcoming Steinberg products will incorporate eLCC, ” he added.
