Early Patches CD-Rom provides an instrument of the era Medieval and Renaissance dclins three catgories Winds, Strings and Percussion. Available in SoundFont format, TTS, 94b and Akai.

SOUND QUALITY

So this is sample instruments that can be used via a MIDI keyboard or piano roll.
The wind instruments are shared between fltes instruments and reed. The fltes include flte traversire of rebirth, a flte bamboo flte a pan, select one of flte Medieval beak, and a range of gemshorns fltes the shepherds made from Cowhorn. Reed instruments include diffrent Shawm (prcurseurs oboe), kortholts (the name means littralement short wood, but the sounds are a little more INTERESTED!), Clarinets and Dudy (a kind of bagpipe drones with one or two). The string includes a lute, ud (lute Arabic), a steel-strung Cittern, a dulcimer, a kanun (zither East) and a psaltrion (Medieval zither), Medieval and ancient harp nyckelharpa a Scandinavian (Violin key jou in Scandinavia and northern Germany) ..

OVERALL OPINION

I use this cd for the past one year and that j'apprcie most is the scarcity of sample instruments. As against it is true that they are instruments trs old so do not sound clear and futuristic. The fact is that my knowledge is the only CD-ROM that contains so few instruments. 100 euros for this cd, it's still too expensive.
Nevertheless, with the exprience I would do this choice because it is really rewarding to be trs for his music and to add instruments so beautiful and so little understood.
