Made in Mexico
14 frets non-cash
Format 3 / 4
Solid Sitka spruce top. (The table is very even mine)
Fund Composite (as on all the X series from Martin. No veneer, as some believe)
Stratabond handle (wood laminate very very strong and very hard)
Morado fingerboard and bridge in (Also known as santos de palo)
Simple but impeccable finish. Matt varnish and end on the table. Satin on the neck.
UTILIZATION
The neck is really nice, not tiring. Not very large.
For a small guitar, it is not small but very balanced and very pleasant.
A feast of comfort.
It seem to play better guitar. Ideal for small Mimine. View the size we can play anytime. Everywhere. Even in bed.

SOUNDS
In agreements it sounds really good with the "touch" Martin. As the Baby Taylor, the LX1 has this little grain indéfinisable. But the LX1 has over the sound of a bigger guitar.
It is a small box so do not expect a big bass Martin if you play the fingers into chords but it's the opposite: power with a dominant low mids.
OVERALL OPINION
I've had it a month. I was looking at 5-15 all mahogany Martin (Construction stopped). I hesitated before purchasing. I was scared by the reviews anti-composite materials. Besides (quibble) Martin could have refrained from adding to the body type of photo finishing mahogany (or koa for some models). They could take the best composite material (Ovation has done).
But after having tried the equivalent in Cort, Samick, Tanglewood, Art & Lutherie (Ami format 4 / 4 but 12 boxes) and Simon & Patrick (4 / 4 sleeve parlor but particular). There's no comparison in sound. I cracked.
I paid 386 euros. More expensive than the models mentioned above. At roughly the price of parlor Simon & Patrick and Seagull Grand. Less expensive than the Breedlove Passport Travel.
But given the quality of sound I will ever be the choice. It's a little Martin. But it really is a Martin.
