SONiVOX MI DVI

SONiVOX has announced the release of the first batch of its new downloadable virtual instrument plugins.

These plugins, branded as DVI which stands for Downloadable Virtual Instruments, give musicians and composers instant access to a large collection of sample-based virtual instruments for (Intel-)Mac OS X (AU & RTAS) and Windows (VST & RTAS).

DVIAs a part of the rollout SONiVOX is offering a free trial program allowing musicians to try these downloadable virtual instruments before they purchase them.

Replacing an earlier series of downloadable instruments, the new DVI’s feature synthesis engine technology developed in-house by SONiVOX as well additional DSP / Special FX by renowned signal processing pioneers and manufacturer iZotope.

The initial 57 DVI offerings include orchestral instruments, vintage keyboards, ethnic tonal & percussion instruments, electronic instruments, guitars, basses, and much more, all affordably priced with prices starting at $19.95. Many more releases are to follow shortly.

About The DVI Product Line

DVIEach DVI product is self contained and comes with its own player. There are many different types of DVI so each DVI player may differ slightly in functionality and aesthetic, but for the most part share a lot of the same traits.

All DVIs have identical Master, Envelope, Filter, and LFO controls making the learning curve quite nominal. Once you have learned how to use one you will almost instantly know how to use others.

Every DVI also has an “Effects” section. Each DVI has three included effects. These three effects included with each DVI may differ from DVI to DVI.

Here are some of the effects that may be included with each DVI.

    * Convolution Reverb
    * Delay
    * Chorus
    * Amp Simulator (provided by iZotope)
