Soundiron takes the subway

Soundiron has launched a new sample library in WAV and Kontakt format for web designers searching for subway and electric streetcar sounds.

Subways & Streetcars features 379 sounds in PCM 24-bit / 48 kHz formats as well as 8 instrument presets for Kontakt 5.1 that capture the sounds of three cars of the modern Bay Area Rapid Transit subway in San Francisco, a classic Key System metropolitan, an urban electric streetcar and an interurban model from the early 20th Century Petaluma-Santa Rosa line.

You’ll find in this library 4.38 GB of sounds from these machines captured at different speed, in different locations and with a different number of passengers. Soundiron also included ambiances recorded in and around different stations as well as 35 pads, drones, atmospheres… created from these sounds.

The library also features a CSV file that you can use to import to most of sound library databases.

The version for Kontakt includes sound shaping tools as well as a collection of effects and impulses for the convolution reverb.

Subways & Streetcars is available for the introductory price of $29, regular price is $39. More info at soundiron.com.
