xoxos has released Aerophone, a new VST instrument plug-in for Windows designed to model lip valve instruments with cylindrical bores such as trumpets and trombones.
The lip valve is modeled with an oversampled 3rd order mass-spring to emulate expressive styles of brass performance.
“The elementary circuit is an effective platform for producing a range of emulative timbres, however to apply humanised performance values requires significant effort and knowledge on the part of the user, ” xoxos said.
Pricing & Availability
Aerophone costs $25. A demo edition is available – it plays a random MIDI note at intervals.
