« The best of all versions so far! »
Published on 04/20/11 at 14:55This is the best version of the G deck practice amps. I love the tones and the high gain sounds you get from this amp. This amp is basically a computer. There is an mp3 player hookup in the back as well and an SD card input on the front panel. It has two in puts for guitars so if your jamming with another guitar player then you both can play at the same time. It is a neat little practice amp.

SOUNDS
There are lot of cool tones available in this version of the G deck series. From hard rock to death metal there are tones here that will fill the need of your guitar playing desires. I like using a Les Paul or another humbucking style guitar to play the deep and thick gainy distortion riffs from the amp. The amp can handle drop tuning as well. So don't be afraid to lower those strings to match your favorite drop tunings.
OVERALL OPINION
I like these amps the more i learned about them. They are not meant to be play out at a gig or anything like that but just to get better with your guitar wielding skills at home. At new these units come in at around $400 which is kind of steep but it has a tone of features that you may or may not want. They have a software that come with the amp called Fuse and that allows you to control your amp from you computer, get updates, and share files and backing tracks with other users online.
I would recommend this amp to anyone who wants to get better as a guitarist and needs all the practice he can get without having a real band. great tool!
