« Correct in distortion, but average clean. »
Published on 10/27/11 at 03:55Modelista 15W,
A jack, a mini jack in, in mini-jack out.
Settings Pre Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, Gain and post a master volume.
Simus 12 amp, the Vox to Marshall Mesa through etc ... a clean channel and lead channel for each of the amplifiers.
12 Effects, Chorus, Flanger etc ...
UTILIZATION
The configuration is simple ... only if we read the manual, but it is easier to use than a Mustang.
The manual is pretty clear thankfully.
But it is to get a good sound it gets complicated, especially in clean:
The problem with this simple password, but with humbuckers on clean is too flat, too serious and too little clicking.
To monitor the level of distortion, it becomes very rough in simus High Gain Amp.
SOUNDS
The amp suits only half my style, since I play as much as Metal Blues, so it is for Metal, Blues for the least, a vox VT will best fit them for example.
As mentioned above the lens is too clean and the distortion it is too.
I play with an Epiphone SG (with upgraded pickups for US) and a Squier and a disto strato Metal Muff EHX home, but for use on this amp go your way, the sound with a pedal is horrible.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for a year and a half, that's enough, but I would change much for another modeling amp or even a small lamp.
Unfortunately, I tried a few models before you buy it, but back then I was totally beginner.
The special feature I like most is the headphone jack, because my apartment is poorly insulated.
The value for money is ok, but the amp is very versatile, more advising beginners to metalheads.
With the experience and especially with the new amp out since I would do not have that choice, I would point me to a Mustang or a VT.
