« Cable guitar / bass very upscale »
Published on 07/04/13 at 14:59How long have you use it?
I use it for about 1 month
Have you tried many other models before buying it?
Yes, I have a Monster Cable Cable that I used for over a year and I met a lot compared to its strength, non-microphonic (you know the cables that make noise when you walk on it like yellow cable ^ ^) and the sound quality it gave back.
A year later, I made the discovery of the Japanese brand Free The Tone, headed by a big name in the manufacture of effects pedals / distortion and audio system for Japanese pro musicians.
When I learned that the brand was marketed high-end guitar cable "music" I've paid close attention, and after much thought I threw myself into the water.
First observation, the manufacturing quality seems to go, the cable is simple and the cable does not have the tendency of monster cables to resume its original shape as when it was wrapped, which I blamed the monster cable.
Then came the test phase, so tell immediately the difference does not jump to the ears when one has been accustomed to the monster cable that's still a high-end cable.
But after a few comparative tests alternating between the monster cable and free the tone I could see what the brand site and the site of the only French dealer said was completely true.
Unlike Monster cable adds treble side and gives a bit garish aggressive, the Free The tone gave a different feel.
I think that there is not a strong coloring of the sound with it, bass will want more precise, the treble is not aggressive and you feel a bit more midrange present.
What is the particular feature you like best and least?
What I like most is the sound that comes out of the cable, there is nothing I do not like to
this cable.
How would you rate the quality / price?
Very good
With experience, you do again this choice?
I definitely think I would do this choice!
This is a very good cable that brings (and you will) to my channel sound, it does not color the sound too and it helps them get through the mix.
