I bought these little LED lyres to enter the world of moving lights and test the software package available. The aim was to find cheap hardware with a sufficiently large number of functionality, and easy maintenance. Capabilities lighting situation (in lumens output, noise) went last (since in any case, I do not have much to illuminate the moment).

I explained that it was the first material of this kind that I handle.

These harps have 13 channels covering a DMX usual features (end pan / tilt end / variable strobe / RGB color / gobo simple). For a low price, I could not find anything better in terms of functionality.

These harps have 13 channels covering a DMX usual features (end pan / tilt end / variable strobe / RGB color / gobo simple). For a low price, I could not find anything better in terms of functionality.

For the negatives:

At the reception, I could see that I had for my money one of the lyres were fingerprints on the lens, and the other had a moving part that ended up breaking the fan (enough therefore fragile). The plastic cover is not good, since it seems to break easily too. Fortunately, the VAS has done the right thing.

In terms of perspective, it is a fixed lens, adjustable by a small screw: the galley to the development, if indeed we can do it properly. Anyway, there's not much to focus the hot spot.

In terms of noise, it blows harder than a PC. It's noisy. I noticed, for cons, they did not heat much.

In terms of light, no surprise, it illuminates a little but not too much. Be careful though not to look directly into the light :-)

For the positives:

The menu to select the DMX channel of the machine: no DIP switches. It's pretty significant. Obviously, the settings are saved between two stops.

All features are announced at the meeting. The engines are fast enough, with an average accuracy. The gobos are there, even if they drool a bit. I have not found any problem with the DMX control, apart from the fact that the general dimmer overrides the values of RGB channels (the dimmer will always be 100% white).

For the rest, it works. The fact that it is LED lamps provides an important reactivity (strobe, change color).

In conclusion, I would say that these machines are fine for testing or to learn how a software without having to invest tons. on the other hand, for a real benefit, it will be harder to get something nice. The quality / price is interesting: after all, it's not expensive at all.

Average rating, because not tested in real conditions.
