Usually sold for $299, Brainworx’s rendition of the Millennia TCL-2 TwinCom opto-compressor offers models of both of the original hardware’s signal paths – full tube or solid state – in a single plugin. M/S mode and separate dry/wet controls for each channel are also included.
Settings ranges are the following:
- Threshold: – infinity to +20 dBu
- Ratio: 2:1 to 30:1 (but tolerance modeling is announced as producing a ratio as low as 1.4:1)
- Attack: 2 to 100 ms
- Release: 100 ms to 3 s
Formats included: AAX DSP, AAX Native, AU, AudioSuite, RTAS, VST2 and VST3.
