Neutrik 32 Amp PowerCon

Neutrik® Energizes Infocomm 2008 With Its Enhanced 32 Amp Powercon.

Neutrik showcases its enhanced 32 Amp PowerCon® at InfoComm 2008 (Booth C3657). Neutrik’s new 32 Amp PowerCon is a high-capacity connector that meets the ever increasing demand for higher power transfer and load in the AV industry.

Neutrik’s enhanced 32 Amp PowerCon is a locking 3-conductor AC connector system with contacts for line, neutral and pre-mating ground. Ideal for high-power distribution systems and supplies for professional audio and lighting equipment installations, it replaces appliance couplers wherever a very rugged solution, in combination with a locking device, is required in order to guarantee a safe power connection. It is not only suited for professional audio and lighting devices and installations but also serves industrial applications where a high current at a small form factor is required.

It features a current rating of 32 Amp for voltages up to 250V ac. The system consists of two connectors — a chassis receptacle and an in-line cable connector with locking mechanism. PowerCon can be used as a power supply interface for industrial applications and has the advantage of a secure locking system, not available with standard AC power connectors. The connectors fulfill all current UL safety standards and is UL recognized. The PowerCon is a connector without breaking capacity, and should not be connected or disconnected under load or live situations.
