No compatibility problem either (kernel 2.16.18 on K7S5A with SB Live and M-Audio Delta 1010)
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
Elite K7S5A - Athlon XP 1800MHz - 1G RAM - 2 ide hdd 160g
Always the same config, very stable.Utilisée mode set for a year and a half on models 4 or 8 tracks.
OVERALL OPINION
Dynebolic used for 2 years or so (live cd at the beginning and then install)
At the time I followed the advice of linuxmao who spoke use.The other live cd contained many more chose.J ''d need a livecd to discover the major tools for Linux mao.
For a live cd terrible.On it can work without the crackling audio (Ardour, Audacity). This is a great distro, very well set for a live cd.
The downside is that once installed the bone is difficult to customize vraiment.L 'achitecture cd (module, distro gentoo) makes it very simple for the average user, but difficult to hack. It is in my opinion a very good cd for training and start mao free, stability will make you forget the crash cracked programs ....
Since then I have kept the same machine by creating my own config from debian etch lean patch + + RT only apps I use. I've never been as stable as Windows. It means to ignore all the playthings that was on cubase which ultimately gave more work than anything chose.Une config = config stable a simple config ...
