« Linux, it's magic! »
Published on 10/19/11 at 06:38For me who am not too good at computers, it is rather easy to install. Like all Ubuntus elsewhere.
If you have a geek in the circle, you can ask him if it reassures you but frankly, there are enough resources on the net for DIY installation without big problems.
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
I had a lot of trouble with some apps, but after putting the hands dirty, (almost) everything has been resolved.
From the standpoint of compatibility with the gear for the studio (sound cards, firewire tables, etc..), It is better to learn in advance: http://www.linuxmao.org/
OVERALL OPINION
In fact, Ubuntu Studio is nothing more than Ubuntu with a bunch of free software and packages already installed.
It seems to me important to add that engage in the direction of free to make its application a personal investment result, both for understanding the operation of the apps in the minimum knowledge of the OS.
Note, therefore, we can (almost) everything to do with Ubuntu Studio, but sometimes you have to spend time there.
