Installation very fast but partitioning is text which can be quite droutant for novices.
No problem of incompatibility OS has a lot of bottle.
The setup is pretty simple.

I tourn XP on a laptop mount equipped with an Intel Core Duo 2x2 Ghz 2 GB RAM.
It is very stable. No crash.
The OS is fast.

NOTICE GLOBAL

I use it for 4 years now.
I should point out that it is more stable and faster than the wagon.

There is a consquente advance between Windows 98 and Windows XP. The core is strong enough, I have not had a virus problem by having put a firewall and free antivirus.

I highly recommend this OS which currently is the most stable at Microsoft.
