Installation and activation without worry.
Camel Space is a multi-purpose creative effects.
It was therefore entitled to an auto-pan, a multimode filter (10 types, including comb filter and ring modulator), an enhancer (actually an exciting and saturation), a flanger, stereo delay, reverb and a " trance gate "(see below).
The auto-pan and the filter can be modulated by each their own LFO (September waveforms). But what takes the most space on the interface, the "step sequencer". It can control the auto-pan and filter, if it is chosen rather than the LFOs, and the famous "trance gate" to create jerks in the sound, especially dear to lovers of trance music (but not exclusive) . The "step sequencer" offers 16 to 128 steps. We can determine the frame rate (as a fraction of the tempo of the host sequencer). We can give him shuffle and adjust the parameters attack, sustain and decay. Note that LFOs and delay can be syncs to tempo.
Finally, we have a controller "x / y" you can assign two parameters to choose from and you can move the mouse or via midi. Furthermore, all parameters can be controlled by noon. To conclude this overview, note the "randomize" button that allows you to, with one click, random to all parameters.
Camel Space comes with five banks of 64 presets and a PDF manual 25 pages, on which you can take a glance to understand the subtleties of "step sequencer". Nothing complicated, however ..

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Operation without any problem on my Mac Pro with 10.6.8 and Digital Performer masochists. CPU resource consumption insignificant.

OVERALL OPINION

I use Camel Space for a little over three years. I use very often. As I said, this is a plug-in creative vocation. Ie we did not use as a simple filter or delay, but as special effects generator by combining all operators. And frankly, it works very well. It is very fun to scroll through the presets or play with the "randomize" button. Obtained quickly and certainly interesting and unexpected effects, even adjust individual parameters. I've often used on voice, but also guitar lines and synth and I always ended up getting interesting sound gimmicks and give life to a track. A real magic wand! At most, I must admit that, even if it is not bad, I usually cut the reverb and replace, if necessary, by a dedicated plug-in.
We can say that this particular multi-effects, as the certified design "Nitro" from PSP Audioware, really is a machine be inspiring. I do not think I have been around and if I had not, I'd acquired very quickly.
