OVERALL OPINION
A little advice with my hot Lp Special P90 in a Celestion G12-35xc and my Z M12:
She really is the perfect low to high gain and this is the first time a pedal suits me in all its setting ranges. This is important because as a result, this Ltd offers a wide range Marshall. It reacts to your playing really well in the manner of Wampler.
For cons, I do not see much use for the switch Low / mid / high freq. Obviously when you start to react well increase the midrange but does not suit me in Low and High. The mid position is simply excellent and fits perfectly to the mediums at Marshall. I feel that I'm not going to touch this little switch. For my part, I seek nothing more than common Marshall by opting for this model. So ... it may be of interest to other musicians to explore lesser known variations also alters too, in this case, the grain of the legendary brand for my taste.
The Input button below 12 does not suit me either. He takes too many bodies to the sound. But after 12 hours, it becomes an element of control but interesting at the same time subtle. It also adds a little bass to as the one running. It will likely be sensitive microphones and react and therefore depend more on the type of guitar that it sticks.
I would tend to say that grain level this Ltd more like a Carl Martin Plexitone as a Wampler Plexidrive and Plextortion met. But Ltd. offers more "visibility" and flexibility with its switch 0 / I / II to the rear. A very good idea!
Compared with Plexface I will not talk here on the side Blackface simply stunning, high-level, I find the best Ltd for Marshall sounds on almost all levels. In fact, it's not really that it is "better" but Ltd offers so many controls that suddenly, it becomes easy to find the sound you love. The Plexface is limited at this level with his one tone knob and gain knob I find good but in a rather limited range of use say between 10 and 14h.
That said, I do not regret having bought the Plexface also because its side Black Tweed 57 and 65 alone is worth a visit. This replaces Weehbo well my two old Wampler 65 Black Tweed and 57 in the process ... Despite everything I have said before, she still delight those looking for such high gain Marshall: The Plexi 87 is pretty good successful I think. JTM in position 59 is not bad but still you can not shape your tone as with a Ltd.
In short, for those who are just addicted to Marshall, he found all his happiness with Ltd and really do not will need a Plexface complement while those looking for a Swiss Army Knife in hand with consideration less adjustment or possibility (Plexi side), it can be run without problems and without regret to a Plexface which is a good and wide range Fender and Marshall some sounds. The whole thing is to love the Plexi side and make sure it fits with your usual registry actually ...
Finally and incidentally, the finish is at the top. Jacks are entrenched in these pedals and even offer a high resistance when you want to remove them, a sign of connection quality and reliability. The Made in Germany still has a bright future!
